Zeaxanthin and lutein (ZeaLutein â)
Zeaxanthin and Lutein (ZeaLutein â) are stabilized natural
carotenoid pigments. They are responsible for the red, yellow
and orange colors in vegetables, fruits and flowers. The carotenoids
trap and neutralize free radicals thus arresting free radical
damage to the cells. In addition, carotenoids retard free radical
mediated illness such as inflammatory disorders, cancers and aging.
Zeaxanthin and lutein, the important carotenoids present in the
eyes are in the ratio of 1:5. This ratio is similar to that observed
in plasma. Lutein and zeaxanthin are transported into the retina
from the plasma in the same ratio. Therefore, zeaxanthin and lutein
offer the ideal ratio with the best benefit.
Zinc
Zinc is offered in the form of Zinc momomethionine, the most
