Momordica charantia Extract

Momordica charantia is also known as bitter melon, bitter gourd and karela. The extract is made from the fruits of the plant Momordica charantia, standardized to not less than 2.5% bitter principle.

One isolate of momordica, is charantin, a mixture of steroidal glycosides and compares favorably with tolbutamide, an oral hypoglycaemic agent. Active compounds from Momordica charantia extract demonstrate hypoglycemic activity include, the sterol glucoside mixture, charantin (extracted from the fruit), pyrimidine nucleoside vicine (extracted from seed), insulinomimetic lectins and alkaloids

Pterocarpus marsupium extract
