Glucosamine Sulfate

Glucosamine sulfate builds up the volume of naturally present glucosamine in the body. Glucosamine stimulates cartilage cells to produce glycosaminoglycans and proteoglycans, which are the building blocks of cartilage. Glucosamine also inhibits proteolytic degradative enzymes and free radicals to exert its anti-inflammatory effect. Glucosamine sulfate also increases synovial fluid production and calcium uptake by bones.

Boswellia serrata extract (Boswellin®)

Boswellia serrata extract is a standardized alcoholic extract containing a minimum of 65% - 70% boswellic acids as the active principle. Boswellia serrata extract offers relief from joint discomfort. The Boswellic acids inhibit two pro-inflammatory enzymes 5-lipoxygenase and Human Leukocyte Elastase (HLE). This dual inhibitory action on the inflammatory process is unique to Boswellic acids. In addition to Boswellia serrata extract being an an anti-inflammatory phytonutrient, it is the only natural leukotreine synthesis inhibitor.

Boswellia serrata extract has a traditional usage as an antiflammatory in inflammed joints. Boswellia serrata has been used to treat rheumatism, respiratory diseases and liver disorders.

Curcuminoids

Curcuminoids is a standardized extract derived from Curcuma longa (turmeric). The extract contains a minimum of 95% of total curcuminoids. The extract is composed of the three Curcuminoids – Bisdemethoxy curcumin, Demethoxy curcumin and Curcumin. They offer bioprotectant properties through their unique mode of action. Curcuminoids prevent the formation of free radicals and intervenes or neutralises free radicals.

Curcuminoids also offer a unique COX-2 inhibitory action.

Piperine (Bioperine®)

Piperine is a patented product consisting of the powdered extract obtained from Piper nigrum. Piperine extract is standardized for a minimum of 98% of the alkaloid piperine.
Piperine acts as a bioavailability enhancer. Piperine increases bioavailability of nutrients and drugs.

Piperine also offers natural thermogenic activity. Piperine in Arthriherbal improves the bioavailability of other ingredients in the formulation and thus improves the efficacy of the formulation
